Jay-Boy – Classic photographs of Jay Adams

A new book of photographs taken by KENT SHERWOOD (Jay Adam’s stepfather and founder of Z-FLEX skateboards)
Late 60’s and early 70’s SKATING, SURFING, and LIFESTYLE.
Awesome photos of JAY, ALVA, SHOGO, B-PAUL, WENTZLE all before the original Z-BOYS really became known.
Some of the childhood images of Jay were seen in the ‘Dogtown and Z-Boys’ documentary.
Most others HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN ANYWHERE EVER BEFORE.
Adams wrote the captions in his own hand writing for the book, while in jail, (mis-spellings and all).
GLEN E. FRIEDMAN edited through all of Kents’ images, and has selected
the cream of the crop for the 100 page hardcover that he also designed.
C. R. STECYK III wrote the introduction.
Originally planned to come out with a major art book publisher in the fall of 2007,
it was put on the fast track and is now available via CONCRETE WAVE EDITIONS.
with all profits going to the Jay Adams Family Fund.
